Global Solidarity and Local Responsibility: ACI blueteam Expands Its Commitment to Social Causes

The Results and Objectives of the Travel Management Company’s Social Projects for More Sensitive and Aware Tourism

Luisago CO, May 8, 2024 – ACI blueteam’s commitment to social causes has been ongoing for years, with particular emphasis on the initiative launched in 2022 within the tourism sector, aimed at raising awareness among Clients, suppliers, business partners, and colleagues within the same TMC in support of Soleterre Onlus for the emergency in Ukraine.

Over the past two years, the project has achieved tangible results, including the restoration of a former boarding school in Novoyarychiv, in the Lviv region, providing homes for thirty families affected by the conflict, and the opening of a center for the physical and psychological rehabilitation of children and adolescents injured in the war.

This latest project, named Unbroken Kids, involved the renovation of a seven-story, 4,000-square-meter building within the Saint Nicholas Hospital in Lviv, where pediatric patients received medical care, including reconstructive surgery, orthopedics, robotic prosthetics, and physical rehabilitation.

ACI blueteam specifically funded the creation of a space dedicated to the psychological and psychosocial rehabilitation of young patients, a delicate and often underestimated aspect, but one that is crucial for overcoming the traumas related to the conflict.

These successes were also made possible by the valuable voluntary contributions of numerous Clients of the Travel Management Company and the Travel Industry who joined the initiative.

In 2024, ACI blueteam will continue to collaborate with Soleterre to address the ongoing humanitarian crisis caused by the war, which, unfortunately, still affects the Ukrainian territory today; it is therefore crucial to keep attention focused on this situation, preventing it from becoming “normalized.” As a result, awareness-raising activities within the entire tourism supply chain will continue to support not only the Ukrainian territory but, most importantly, the many children who are being deprived of their childhood.

ACI blueteam has always prioritized the protection and support of younger generations, having established an internal Academy several years ago to train young talents and offer them opportunities to enter the workforce. This year, in line with this philosophy, the TMC has decided to expand its social responsibility through a new collaboration with the “Cometa” association in Como.

Cometa is a place that has made hospitality its way of life, supporting numerous local families through a wide range of social and educational services for children and adolescents. At Cometa, one grows, studies, works, and learns through experience. It is within this context that ACI blueteam employees will be directly involved, dedicating part of their working hours to actively assisting in the education of young people during daily activities.

In addition to supporting the Onlus, one of the primary objectives of this initiative is to raise awareness among employees about the needs of others, sharing the approach of small gestures such as a passion for life, the driving force behind the emotional and cognitive energy in each of us.

“In the face of what is happening in Ukraine, the Middle East, Morocco, and many other areas around the world, we cannot stand by and watch, but we have a duty to act, to the best of our abilities. This is why we proudly continue to stand alongside Soleterre Onlus, a foundation that guarantees the right to health for children, women, and men in war zones,” declares Piergiorgio Reggio, Marketing Director of ACI blueteam Spa.

“However, we are also aware that the new generations in our local area need support. For this reason, starting this year, we have joyfully decided to directly support Cometa’s work with our internal resources. Cometa is a local association that welcomes children and young people every day to ensure their harmonious development and growth, helping them express and develop their abilities and talents, regardless of the difficulties they face, combating school dropout, and learning a trade. With our ongoing commitment to supporting both international and local communities, ACI blueteam reaffirms its dedication to contributing to the promotion of an inclusive, sensitive, and aware tourism sector.”
