Luisago CO, March 6, 2024 – When it was founded in 1998, the TMC of the ACI Group had 15 employees. “Over the years, we have grown significantly,” says Alfredo Pezzani. “Today, ACI blueteam is a well-structured company, with 10 directors leading as many teams.”
Regarding last year’s results, Pezzani highlights: “In 2023, we experienced double-digit growth, even though our strategies were focused more on confirming our traditional customer care rather than simply increasing volumes. ACI blueteam emphasizes quality. The importance we place on this aspect is demonstrated by our investments in personnel. Last year, we added 43 new employees, bringing the total to 280 staff members.”
“We are known for having many clients in the fashion sector, but for us, quality service is not necessarily linked to luxury,” continues Pezzani. “On the contrary, it lies in our ability to meet the current market challenges, turning them into opportunities and offering clients solutions that combine traveler satisfaction with savings. This goal is achieved through the continuous training of our staff. Just consider the success of our Business Travel Academy, aimed at young people.”
It is no coincidence, Alfredo Pezzani explains, that ACI blueteam has created a three-person division exclusively dedicated to resolving customer issues, such as lost luggage and other critical incidents.
ACI blueteam focuses on quality by investing in employee training, but not only that: “Our investment also includes time,” says Alfredo Pezzani. “Our clients’ cases remain on our desks until the passenger has departed, and in some cases, until they have returned.”
“We offer clients the best rates (including NDC fares) and leverage all savings opportunities from dynamic pricing through continuous monitoring of fare changes,” continues Pezzani. “This activity is carried out not only by our technology systems but also by our staff. It’s the combination of technology and the professionalism of our personnel that ensures the quality-savings balance.”
Among ACI blueteam’s projects for 2024 are significant investments across all technological platforms. Specifically, the implementation of features dedicated to finding the best rates for flights, trains, hotels, and leisure services is planned. “We are testing some AI-based solutions that will be integrated into our proprietary self-booking tool, BT Tool, providing first-level support to companies. We are also integrating these modules into Microsoft’s Power BI, a solution that allows our clients to access timely and real-time spending data.”
Piergiorgio Reggio also joins in to discuss ACI blueteam’s new Exclusive brand. “As Alfredo Pezzani mentioned, over the years, we have distinguished ourselves by the quality of service offered to companies. This approach has also led to the creation of a dedicated team for high-spending and VIP clients. A range of luxury services now identified under a new brand: Exclusive, with its dedicated communication line.”
The offering of Exclusive services is also made possible by collaborations with 19 preferred partners in luxury hospitality. These agreements are complemented by others with strategic partners that have allowed the TMC to establish itself in this market segment. “Among others, the international network Virtuoso Travel, which offers not only hotel services but also private jets, villas, and yachts.”
“For example, collaboration with our preferred partners allows us to offer our VIP clients 3-for-2 or 4-for-3 accommodation formulas on certain room types. Even in luxury, pricing is essential,” says Piergiorgio Reggio.
Last year, ACI blueteam inaugurated the first Exclusive lounge at Termini Station in Rome. “Recently, a second lounge was opened in Milan, just steps away from the central Piazza Duomo. This lounge serves as a base for VIP clients passing through the Lombard capital.”
We conclude our interview with an announcement. “In 2024, ACI blueteam will once again host the GP Travel Club during the Monza Grand Prix,” reveals Alfredo Pezzani. Now in its third edition, the GP Travel Club is the flagship event that the TMC dedicates to its top clients.
